The 2026 National Beef Smokin’ Saddles Barbeque Contest is sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS), Oklahoma Barbeque Society (OKBS), and the Rocky Mountain Barbeque Association (RMBBQA). This official cook-off is entering its 37th year as the best BBQ contest in Southwest Kansas! Come see world famous Pitmasters compete for over $10,000 awarded in cash and prizes! Little Smokies Kids-Q Competition

Watch young grill masters (ages 6–15) show off their BBQ skills at the Little Smokies Kids-Q, sponsored by Koch Fertilizer! Competitors will battle it out for bragging rights, cash, and prizes.

BACKYARD BBQ CONTEST - OPEN FORMAT
Think you can win best backyard chef? Enter the Centera Bank Backyard BBQ Contest, a KCBS-sanctioned event where local grillmasters compete for cash and bragging rights. Follow the smells to Wright Park to see the winner. This is judges-only—no public sampling. Thanks to sponsors: Pepsi, Q-97, Z-98, and La Ke Buena. This is a KCBS-sanctioned contest.
We will be participating in the KCBS “Open Format,” which allows Backyard teams to compete alongside Masters teams.

Entry Fees:
$50 per entry — Chicken and Ribs
$100 per entry — Chicken, Ribs, and Miscellaneous
KCBS scoring metrics will be used. Rules will follow KCBS guidelines and entries will be judged accordingly.
