Dodge City Days Medallion Hunt
The Dodge City Globe once again presents the long-awaited and anticipated Medallion Hunt. The hunt begins when the first clue appears in the Dodge City Globe on Tuesday, July 22nd then daily on dodgeglobe.com and in the Dodge City Globe on its publishing days of Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Interpret the clues, find the medallion, and turn it in for a $500.00 cash reward. Clues will also be available at the Dodge City Globe office and posted on the front door. Dodge City Days Kickoff

RE-DEDICATION OF STAN HERD MURAL
Legendary artist Stan Herd will rededicate his iconic Stagecoach mural on the First National Bank Building at 100 Spruce Street to kick off Final Friday during Dodge City Days. The Rededication of the Mural will take place at 4:30pm. A reception and special art show with Herd will be held at the Carnegie Center for the Arts at 701 N 2nd Avenue from 5-7pm. Dodge City Days 5K & 1 Mile Shootout

HOLLYWOOD COMES TO DODGE CITY
In 1939, Hollywood stars came to Dodge City for the World Premiere of “Dodge City.” The popularity of television and motion picture westerns in the 1950s and 1960s made Dodge City a stop for many western stars. Boot Hill Museum curator Keith Wondra will discuss the various stars that came to Dodge City including ones from famous westerns such as “Gunsmoke” and lesser known ones such as Joel McCrea.

THE ARKANSAS RIVER PROGRAM
The Arkansas River flows through five states and stretches 1,469 miles. In Southwest Kansas, it has uniquely shaped political, economic, and environmental conditions.this program marks the debut of a podcast series about the Arkansas River. Scholar Hannes Zacharias will open the event by sharing his personal connection to the river. A moderated panel discussion will follow, featuring voices with expertise in agriculture, wastewater reclamation, and historical perspectives of the Arkansas River.

Landmark National Bank Art Show
Landmark National Bank invites the public to attend the 32nd Annual Landmark National Bank Art Show. This year’s art show exhibits the work of livestock illustrator and artist, C.J. Brown. As a northern Illinois native, Brown appreciates the land, lifestyle and people of the rural countryside. Brown specializes in the beef animal and appreciates all breeds as she believes that each breed is an artwork in itself. You can see her work displayed in numerous cattle breed associations and other corporate businesses tied to the beef industry. WESTERN CATTLE TRAIL ASSOCIATION WRANGLE
Robert M. Wright, a revered figure in the Dodge City community for fifty years, left an indelible mark on the region when he passed away on January 4, 1915. His remarkable contributions earned him a distinguished obituary in the Dodge City Daily Globe. In tribute
to his enduring legacy, Keith Wondra, the curator of the Boot Hill Museum, will present an inspiring account of Wright's life. This presentation will delve into his vital roles in the Santa Fe Trail and the Western Cattle Trail, showcasing his profound impact on the history of the region. The Western Cattle Trail Association thanks the Community Foundation of Southwest Kansas for their continued support of the Dodge City Days Wrangle. Through their grant money we are able to bring a wide range of speakers and subject matter to the people of our historic City.
