The Western Cattle Trail Association and the Dodge City/Fort Dodge/Cimarron Chapter of the Santa Fe Trail invite the public to a featured presentation by Dr. Frank Sharp, distinguished academic, author, and cattleman. Dr. Sharp will explore the history, symbolism, and genetics of the Texas Longhorn, the breed central to 19th-century cattle drives. Drawing from his doctoral research and more than a decade of raising Longhorns with his wife, Louise, Dr. Sharp offers a unique perspective that connects academic study with practical ranching.
